With only 6 weeks notice, activ8 events were approached to produce a 3D holographic show for the Ambani family in India, to celebrate the 50th birthday of Nita Ambani on 1st November, 2013.

Mrs. Ambani is the wife of the richest man in India, Mukesh Ambani, who according to Forbes is the 22nd richest person in the world, with a net worth of some US$21 billion, http://www.forbes.com/profile/mukesh-ambani/ 

The actual event was held at the very impressive, Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodphur, which is one of the world's largest private residences. Named after Maharaja Umaid Singh, grandfather of the present owners of the palace, this monument has 347 rooms and serves as the principal residence of the erstwhile Jodhpur royal family.

Two weeks prior to the event, the activ8 team flew into Mumbai to film Mrs.Ambani in full HD, and then digitally created her holographic double for the show.

A spokesperson for activ8 said:

“WOW, this was some party! This was one of the most lavish 3D holographic events we’ve ever been asked to design, film and implement. No expense was spared, and it was great to work with the Ambani’s who were friendly and approachable. We managed to help the client source most of the AV equipment in India which saved costs, and the rest of the equipment was specially shipped in. The Ambani’s had heard through their friend the Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan, that we’d also turned him into a 3D hologram. So the actual agreement and contract was signed off very fast, which gave us the time we needed to create a fantastic show”.

The 50th birthday of Nita Ambani was a starry affair, with the who's who of Bollywood and cricket flying in to Jodhpur to attend the party at Umaid Bhawan. Stars included Shahrukh Khan, Saachin Tendulkar, Aamir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, and politicians, media barons, and cricketers were in attendance.
